I've been taking Roscoe to Unleashed for training and day care for over five years and I couldn't be happier. The staff is amazing, the trainers are amazing, and the owner Becky is amazing. Looking forward to their HUGE new facility!

It is a training place that works with owners and their dogs. They have Beginning to Advanced training sessions. They have one trainer that is fantastic. My wife and I bought a Golden doodle from a breeder in DearCreek Illinois in January, and we found this trainer through a pet store named Bentleys his name is Brian and after we brought are dog home.He comes to your home and works with your dog and you. He explains everything and shows you what to do. Are dog and us have learned so much from him. Brian teaches at unleashed in Evanston and if you are lucky enough to have him as a trainer you will be very blessed. I recommend you sign up and take his class.

We started our puppy (a very energetic Aussie Shepherd mix) in puppy classes here in April, and have since had a personal training session in home with Meg. We have been absolutely amazed at the trainer's knowledge of just about every dog behavior (both good and bad!) under the sun. They have been life savers for us, and helped make the transition of adding our puppy to our house (with a 4 year old son) much easier. We are looking forward to doing more classes (obedience and fungility) this fall, and can't wait to do doggy daycare when the new location opens up early next year!!!! We have just finished Unleashed's Puppy course with our 5 month old puppy and are very excited to enroll him in their Basic Obedience starting this spring. The class size was around 7~8 depending upon attendance which felt just right, small enough that the trainer could give each dog personalized attention but also large enough to socialize the puppies. We learned multiple commands and the proper methods for practicing at home and were very grateful for all the insights their trainers offered. In addition to class we have attended some of Unleashed's "Puppy Pool Parties" which are great as they allow our dog to meet more puppies in a structured environment; they are also just adorable to attend.

I'd give 50 stars if I could! After a bad experience at Rex's Place, I was added to Unleashed's day care wait list. In the meantime, I started training classes with Meg. Since then (past two years), I've taken multiple fun classes (basic obedience for puppies, outdoor obedience, and sniff n' seek), private training lessons, and weekly daycare.

I can't tell you how much I love Unleashed and their amazing staff. My girl can be a handful but she never had an issue at Unleashed and Meg gave me the tools and confidence I needed to be a better dog mom.

I have since moved and feel like part of my little community is missing (they even had fun, holiday-themed classes!). I know it will never be replaced so you should go!!

Best daycare and training facility

I might be biased because I work here, but I can also give the inside scoop on how unleashed works. I have been here almost four years and can honestly say its an amazing place for dogs and people. I've taken classes with meg and claire, wonderful people who are great teachers. I cant recommend their puppy class enough. all of the staff LOVE DOGS(of course) and we will go above and beyond to help our clients. I bring my own dogs here with me and they always have a ton of fun :)

We had our rescue puppy (a Lab-Shar-pei mix) attend Puppy Kindergarten and later Obedience Training at Unleashed. Meg and the other trainers do a great job with the dogs and the owners (who in our case were the ones that really need the training). They have a nice set up, small classes and our dog liked it so much that every time I open the door to my car he tries to jump in figuring that we are going back there.

Meg offers practical, reasonable advice and it is obvious that all of the staff really care for the animals. Highly recommend for anyone looking for help with their training.

Great classes

I have used Unleashed in the past and they were wonderful! I've taken classes there for two of my dogs and day care for another.

They were always understanding and extremely careful with my dog who like to jump fences! Becky and the staff always were great with my dogs. I always felt safe leaving them there knowing each person knew the personalities and the interactions of all dogs.

Hopefully we'll be able to see them again soon!

They worked with her for the first few weeks while she became socialized. She readily adjusted to playing with other dogs and can't wait to get there every morning we go.

Mystic cries every morning, until we get in the car, with anticipation of hours of play and fun... and some nights doesn't want to leave Unleashed to go home. Fantastic! We took our puppy Josh to Basic Obedience class and the results were amazing. Meg is a great instructor. She not only understand dogs and how they think, but people too! She explains dog behavior in a way that makes sense AND my behavior with the dog changed as a result. I get a better response from the puppy now that I have a better and positive way to interact with the dog. We can't wait for the next class to start. I highly recommend classes at Unleashed!

I can't say enough about how great Becky and the staff at Unleashed are. They really take the time to get to know each and every dog. The facilities are always clean and they spend time with the dogs both inside and outside. Becky studies domestic dog behavior onsite and publishes her findings. They also teach puppy, obedience and agility classes. My dog gets SO excited when we drive to Unleashed, and has a blast playing there with the other dogs. I highly recommend Unleashed for dogs both big and small. Your pooch will thank you!

Both my pup Bodie and I LOVE Unleashed- great staff. We've done multiple classes for training as well as utilized the day care. Bodie can't get in the door fast enough! They've always been really helpful with any questions we've had with any behavior or training issues, and seem really attentive to him when he is there during the day.

TRAINING: My bloodhound Roscoe has been getting his training from Meg at Unleashed since he was 10 weeks old. Meg is an absolutely wonderful dog trainer and Roscoe loves her. We have taken puppy classes, basic obedience classes, coming when called classes, and sniff-and-seek classes, and he and I have learned a lot every time. Meg has a very positive attitude and great experience with all kinds of dog issues and will provide you and your pooch with the tools you need to ensure a happy and polite dog.

DAYCARE: Once Roscoe was fixed he began to attend the daycare at Unleashed twice a week. He loves it. He plays non-stop and comes home at the end of the day exhausted. They provide multiple areas so that dogs of different sizes and temperaments can be grouped, and plenty of staff to watch over our best friends. The staff have been nothing but polite and attentive and it's been a top-notch experience. They also occasionally (not often enough!) post pictures to their facebook page so we can see our dogs in action!

Moved to Skokie from Chicago this past summer and had to find a daily doggy daycare for my high energy goldendoodle. Was surprised by the lack of options in the area, but decided to give Unleashed a try based on its proximity to my job. I LOVE Unleashed. Maisie is so happy there; she goes 5 days a week and has a blast every day. She is so happy to go in and see her human and canine friends. Everyone knows her by name and gives her kisses and hugs just like she likes. It took her about a month to get comfortable there, but they were so patient with her transition. It's a bit pricey but it's worth every penny; I have peace of mind that she's safe and well taken care of on a daily basis by people that love her almost as much as I do. I recommend Unleashed without hesitation.

we took our 1 year old pitbull here last year for a tricks class and it was so great! the teacher was fantastic and patient and my pup had a wonderful time and learned alot! was a great way to channel some of her energy into something positive during the cold months.

Unleashed has been a godsend to us and a joy to our golden retriever.  Her social life revolves around the many friends, animal and human,that she has made at Unleashed, where she loves to go and is watched over with love and skill. The facilities are spacious and kept impeccably clean, with outside areas for plenty of play in the sunshine, and the staff is infinitely patient and knowledgeable about keeping each dog safe and happy.  Becky and Meg are wonderful resources for everything from training issues to diet.  I really can't recommend Unleashed too highly -- we feel very lucky to have such an expertly run daycare business in our community.

I relocated to the Chicago area a year and a half ago and tried to find a Doggy Day care that met the high standards I had come to know in my home town. Those included a staff that paid attention to my pooch, a place that genuinely cared about my pup, and as a must, had an unleashed/cage free policy.

I had a few unfortunate experiences before finding Unleashed. Those didn't know who I was or what my dog's name even was when I arrived for pick up. My dog was happy to go home from those. But not with Unleashed!

My cockapoo was losing his doggy social skills but now is back to being his fun self with the help from the staff and the experience only being with other canines can bring. Dogs need to be with other dogs! Dogs just wanna have fun!

My pup loves "school" as I call it when we head out in the AM to go to day care. When we are a block away, he whimpers and can't contain himself with excitement because he knows we are en route to "school" - his favorite place!!! He can't get in the door fast enough! And when he gets home, he eats a big dinner and then sleeps the sound sleep you only have after a long fulfilling day of romping and sniffing and running and hanging out with your canine "buds". Not to mention, he gets to be with the friendly staff that organizes playtime, naptime and makes the whole day a doggy fun time!

We are so happy we found Unleashed!!

Our dog Jackson LOVES going to Unleashed!!  He goes 2x/week but I know he would prefer to go every day.  He loses his mind when they come to pick him up.  The staff is wonderful and really love all of the dogs that go there.  We really cannot say enough wonderful things about Unleashed.  It's a bit pricey but we obviously think it is worth the cost.  The best part is that our little one is EXHAUSTED when he comes home.  I love the little guy...but I love him best when he is sleeping.  :)   Unleashed is the greatest!!!

We have been happy clients for 2 1/2 years. We have had our dog at other places but this is by far the cleanest and most dog centered facility. The owner and her staff really love these dogs. It looks like a daycare-colorful and with a ramp and outdoor area for the dogs to roam and play. My dog is always very excited to go and play. It really helps with socialization and in getting his energy expelled.

Unleashed in Evanston is the BEST place to bring your dog for socialization, training, exercise and affection while you're at busy at work. Dr. Trisko is incredibly knowledgeable about dog behavior and socialization and has trained her staff very well.

When I bring my dogs here, I know they are in good hands and are having the time of their life playing with their buddies - both dog and human! When I tell my dogs, "Do you want to go to daycare today?" they go CRAZY with excitement! And when it's time to go home, they never want to leave! :)

The staff at Unleashed are fantastic and truly care for each dog and his/her best interets - I always look forward to hearing stories about their day and seeing the pictures and videos uploaded on their Facebook page.

I love Unleashed!  My dog loves Unleashed!  Dr. Becky and her staff are responsible, helpful, and friendly.  They know each of the dogs, and enjoy them all. Our rescue dog Sunny has attended Unleashed In Evanston daycare regularly since the business opened in the fall of 2006. Unleashed was the first dog daycare to open in Evanston, and remains the best!!! We have checked out other daycares in the area, and none compare to Unleashed. Dr. Trisko and her staff are so kind and knowledgeable and customize the treatment and care of individual dogs. They assess different dogs personalities, they are always willing to accommodate special needs for ALL their clients and pets, and they make everyone feel like family. We often check their Facebook page for photos, stories and videos to see what's going on with the Unleashed family.

We feel proud to be long standing clients, we will continue to support them, and every time we drop Sunny off the staff makes us feel special.  That's the way it should be, and that's what makes them the best in our opinion.  They are a special business that treat people with respect, they are wonderful with the dogs, and the place is just FUN!!!  We have attended special obedience training classes, weekend agility courses, and Dr. Becky answers every question we have. She even takes the time to email with more details. She is special too, her love for dogs is exceptional, she is the most dedicated daycare owner we have ever known, and we can see why she received her PhD and is quoted in so many articles about dogs and their behavior. She has incredible instincts and truly is a dog whisperer, but she is always humble... A class act!!!
